General information

Did you know that…

… you can heat up the hot tub within 90 minutes with just the press of a button?

… you can take the ponies, Bobbie and Billie, out of the meadow and brush them?

… you are allowed to build your own campfire?

… you can make the pigs LouLou, Poppy, and Willow very happy with your vegetable scraps? Just throw them on the ground—do not feed them by hand.

… the kids can play with the go-karts and outdoor toys? (Don’t forget to put them back in the evening or when it rains.)

… you can buy fresh organic eggs at the farm? Walk towards the fields and enter the right-hand field where the pond is. Then, go to the left chicken cart. Inside, you will see a red button—when you push it to the right, the conveyor belt will start moving, bringing the eggs to you. Once you have enough, turn the belt off. You can pay for the eggs using the QR code inside the cart.

… you can enter the enclosures of the rabbits and guinea pigs and pick them up for cuddles?

… it’s best to use windows and doors with screens to keep out insects from nature?

… you have your own little garden with a seating area? (If it rains, please store the cushions under the roof.)

… we’ve created a guide for you with all our favorite places to visit?

We kindly request that you treat the property and its surroundings with respect. You are required to adhere to the house rules that have been established for this purpose. Failure to comply with one or more rules may unfortunately result in the possibility of us having to terminate your stay.

Departure

Check-out is possible until 10:00 AM at Sheep House and 11:00 AM at Farm House. We kindly ask you to take care of the following before departure:

  • The oven, fridge, and microwave should be left clean.
  • Please load and start the dishwasher before leaving.
  • Return everything inside and around the holiday home to its original place.
  • All trash must be disposed of at the recycling station. You can find it under the covered area near the animals. Each bin is labeled with the type of waste it should contain.
  • All used toys (both indoor and outdoor) should be returned to their proper place.

Would you like to help the cleaning staff? You can do so by:

  • Removing the bed linen.
  • Gathering all used linen and towels in one place (except for mattress protectors).

Waste

We find it important to separate waste so that it can be better recycled. In your holiday home, you can easily sort your waste using the bins provided: one large bin for plastic, one small bin for residual waste, and one small bin for glass. Please separate your waste and take it to the recycling station, which is located under the covered area near the animals.

The recycling station has separate bins for plastic, residual waste, and glass. Additionally, we recently added a container for depositing refundable bottles. If you don’t want to take them home, you have the option to donate them. The proceeds go to the Voedselbank (Food Bank) in Nistelrode.

Campfire

On the terrace, there is a fire pit where you can make a fire using wood. Please always keep the garden hose nearby, just in case...

If, due to fire hazard, the fire department advises against making fires, we will inform you.

You can buy a bag of wood in the garden of your holiday home, under the covered area/wood storage. You can pay for the wood using the QR code at the bottom of the page or click here to pay.

Pets

Pets are not allowed on the farm or in the holiday homes, including our own pets.

Music

Playing music outdoors is not allowed.

Bicycle Storage

You can also store bicycles under the covered area near the go-karts.

The Animals

Rabbits

The rabbits and guinea pigs love to be cuddled. You are welcome to enter their enclosures. It may take a little running after them before you catch them. Please feed the rabbits a maximum of once a day. The rabbits may only have broccoli, carrots, radishes, and endive. Feeding from the hand is at your own risk, as sometimes the sweet rabbit can't tell the difference between a small finger and food.

Pigs

The pigs, Willow, Poppy, and Lou Lou, love your green waste. You can enter their pen and throw the food on the ground. Lou Lou, the black pig, loves belly rubs; sometimes, he even lies down for it. (Please note that the pigs' pen has electric fencing.)

Bobbie and Billie

Bobbie and Billie, our little ponies in the meadow, love to go for walks. You can grab a rope from the fence and take them out of the meadow for a walk. Please make sure to close the gate behind you. When walking with a pony, always walk in front of them, not behind their rear. After the walk, please return Bobbie and Billie to the meadow without the rope.

Charging an Electric Car

This is possible at The Forest for a fee. The address is Nieuwe Bundersteeg 17, just a 2-minute drive from The Farm and Sheep House.

The Pond

If you walk into the right meadow, you will see a pond. You are allowed to build a campfire in the fire pit. It is also possible to swim in the natural pond, at your own risk.

Go-karts and Outdoor Toys

You are welcome to use the go-karts free of charge. They can be found under the covered area. Please, once the children are finished playing, return the go-karts and outdoor toys to the shed so that other children also have the chance to play with them.

Windows and Doors

Due to the many flies and mosquitoes on the farm, we kindly ask you to use only windows and doors with screens. This way, you can keep insects out of your cabin as much as possible during your stay.

Complaints and Suggestions

Despite our care, it is possible that you may have a complaint or suggestion. Please inform us in a timely manner so that we can address it immediately and during your stay. This way, we can maintain and/or improve our service and quality.
